Job Title: Despatch Clerk

Job Overview:
The Despatch Clerk ensures the efficient and effective dispatch of goods and maintains stock control to ensure variances remain acceptable at month-end and year-end. This role involves verifying dispatch processes, maintaining quality standards, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of loading sheets.
- Write and process short loads and credit notes.
- Inspect bread quality to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Ensure correct quantities of bread are transferred from production to dispatch.
- Prepare and summarize bread reconciliation reports against transfers and orders.
- Complete wage norms for shifts to ensure proper resourcing.
- Inspect trucks before closure and locking.
- Manage staff according to company policy and uphold discipline.
- Maintain required stock levels.
- Lead and drive initiatives such as Invocom, 20 Keys, and foot safety.
- Ensure effective use of the employee clocking system.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support the dispatch function.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clerical experience, ideally within a bakery environment.
- Technical Skills: Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
