Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and efficient Courier to join our team at the Mulbarton Depot Night. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods, specimens, and reports. The role requires a commitment to excellent customer service and adherence to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection & Delivery:
- Plan collection and delivery routes based on tasks and deliveries that need to be completed.
- Collect and deliver specimens, reports, and other goods from laboratories and clients, ensuring all items reach their destinations promptly and in good condition.
- Sign proof of delivery for items collected or delivered, ensuring proper tracking and record-keeping.
- Courier Management:
- Scan specimens and results on the Courier Management Program to ensure traceability.
- Maintain daily safe keeping of Lancet’s assets (e.g., vehicles, petrol cards, uniforms, etc.) and report any issues to management.
- Complete incident and accident reports and submit them to management for timely insurance claims processing.
- Health & Safety:
- Use protective wear (e.g., specimen bags, gloves) to ensure personal safety and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of Lancet vehicles, promptly reporting hazardous material spills and ensuring safe working conditions.
- General Maintenance & Reporting:
- Ensure the cleanliness and good condition of delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Report any issues, damages, or required repairs to management in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification is preferable.
- Grade 10 with 2–3 years of relevant working experience or a minimum of 10 years courier experience.
- License & Experience:
- Appropriate driver’s license.
- Proven experience in courier or delivery services.

Compensation:
