Overview:
Lancet Laboratories is seeking a detail-oriented Admin Clerk – Data Capturer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate capturing and processing of patient data to support efficient laboratory operations and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Capture & Registration:
- Capture patient information and medical aid details from doctor’s report forms for accurate processing.
- Accurately log patient registration forms into the computerized database system according to SOPs for reports, medical aid, or patient payments.
- Verify registration forms for dependability and accuracy of patient results.
- Specimen Handling & Monitoring:
- Ensure the dispatch of specimens for processing in compliance with prescribed standard operating procedures.
- Track progress of sample deliveries and ensure timely delivery of processed results.
- Perform hospital rounds to collect samples and distribute reports in accordance with relevant SOPs.
- Customer Service & Administrative Support:
- Handle administrative queries and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
- Represent the organization by applying principles of customer care and interacting professionally with medical professionals and staff.
- Assist on the switchboard to ensure smooth operations.
- Stock & Equipment Management:
- Monitor stock levels and order additional materials as needed to ensure availability for effective service delivery.
- Maintain and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment to ensure good working order.
- Adhere to waste removal practices in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Responsible for scanning specimens electronically for easy access during after-hours requests.
- Report incidents, log customer complaints, and track progress on the laboratory information management system.
- Training & Housekeeping:
- Perform basic housekeeping in the work area, ensuring cleanliness and preparation of equipment.
- Provide training for new staff to ensure continuous development and adherence to standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Education:
- Grade 12 or relevant NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Experience:
- 0-1 years relevant working experience.
- Skills:
- Computer literate and familiar with laboratory information systems.
- Knowledge of organizational policy and procedures.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data capturing.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, customer orientation, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation:
