Job Overview:

Afrimat Cement Plant is seeking a skilled and experienced SHE System Administrator to manage and support the safety, health, and environment (SHE) management system. The role involves ensuring compliance with internal and ISO standards, administrating the SHE system, coordinating audits, and providing general administrative support to the SHE team.


Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
    • Relevant degree or diploma.
    • ISO Auditor Certificate (advantageous).
  • Experience:
    • Strong administrative skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SHE Management System:
    • Develop and implement safety, health, and environment (SHE) management systems in line with internal and ISO standards.
    • Ensure compliance with management system requirements.
    • Administer the Controlled Documents Management system in accordance with internal and ISO standards.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Develop a schedule for internal audits and conduct them.
    • Facilitate the implementation of corrective actions and generate audit reports.
    • Coordinate external SHE management system audits.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Administer the auditing process, generate SHE statistics, and provide reports for site SHE information.
    • Ensure integrity of SHE data and information for internal and external communication.
    • Process invoices, maintain a vendor invoice tracker, and process expense reports.
    • Assist with minute-taking in meetings and follow up on action items.
    • Compile monthly SHE reports.
  • General Administration:
    • Coordinate the maintenance of safety boards with relevant postings such as SHE policy, inspection results, and news flashes.
    • Keep records updated for regulatory submissions.
    • Provide administrative support to the SHE team to ensure smooth department operations.
