Job Purpose:
Perform tasks related to excavating and loading materials in accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Safe Work Procedures (STP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Excavating and Loading:
- Excavating and loading of materials.
- Levelling and cleaning using the bucket.
- Ad-hoc Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as required.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Conduct tasks in accordance with relevant safety rules, regulations, and job site conditions.
- Perform walk-around inspections.
- Report all defects and complete pre-start checklists.
- General Maintenance:
- General housekeeping of the Excavator machine.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 11.
- Valid Competency Certificate for Excavator operation.
- Valid Competency Certificate for TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe) Machine is advantageous.
- Experience:
- Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in an earthmoving environment.
- Familiarity with mining equipment and safety standards (specifically Excavators).
