Job Title: Dispatch Supervisor

Job Overview:
Afrimat Cement Plant is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor to manage a team of dispatchers. The role involves overseeing the dispatch process, ensuring timely and accurate shipments, and addressing any concerns that may arise in the delivery or service process. The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching, training, and evaluating the dispatch team to ensure high levels of productivity and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
- Relevant degree or diploma in Logistics.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar warehouse or dispatch environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and lead a team of dispatchers to ensure the timely, efficient, and accurate dispatch of shipments.
- Address any issues or concerns, including delays, accidents, or service failures.
- Performance Evaluation:
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of dispatchers, providing coaching and training as needed.
- Reporting and Metrics:
- Prepare and review daily dispatch reports and metrics to ensure performance goals are met.
- Process Improvement:
- Develop and implement dispatching policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Customer Service:
- Resolve customer complaints related to delivery or service issues promptly and professionally.
- Compliance and Training:
- Assure compliance with protocols, procedures, guidelines, and policies.
- Train staff on new dispatch equipment, procedures, policies, and regulations.
