Job Description
As a Sales Consultant in the Building Yard, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs and proposing the right products and services. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, product knowledge, and the ability to meet sales targets while maintaining a high standard of store condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and guide them in choosing the right products.
- Provide appropriate solutions and services based on customer requirements, ensuring satisfaction.
- Follow the sales process to build customer relationships and meet sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities by understanding market trends.
- Follow up on sales leads and maintain communication with customers.
- Collaborate with the Department Manager and merchandisers to ensure product availability.
- Maintain the store’s condition, including layout, cleanliness, pricing, and visual merchandising.
- Assist customers before, during, and after sales, including proposing personalized solutions such as delivery and installation.
- Use various channels (email, WhatsApp, phone) to facilitate sales.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent
- Experience: Proven experience as a sales consultant (hardware experience is advantageous)
- Skills:
- Exceptional customer service skills

- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of pricing methodologies
- Relationship management abilities
- Ability to multi-task and manage customer portfolios
- Proficiency in English
