Job Description
As a Sales Consultant in the Decoration department, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. The role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of the products, and the ability to meet sales targets. You will also be responsible for maintaining the store’s presentation and assisting customers throughout their entire sales journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply the appropriate sales process to build strong customer relationships and meet sales targets.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through attentive sales service.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and guide them in selecting the right products.
- Provide personalized solutions that match customer needs, offering products and services (e.g., delivery, installation).
- Identify new business opportunities through understanding market trends.
- Follow up on sales leads to convert them into sales.
- Collaborate with the Department Manager and merchandisers to ensure customer-preferred products are available.
- Maintain a high standard of store presentation, including cleanliness, pricing, product availability, and visual merchandising.
- Contribute to the department’s commercial action plan and sales initiatives.
- Assist customers throughout the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to post-sale support.
- Ensure the store remains fully stocked and organized.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 or NQF 4 Equivalent
- Experience: Proven experience as a sales consultant (experience in hardware or decoration products is advantageous).
- Skills:
- Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping others
- Problem-solving abilities and proactive in providing solutions
- Knowledge of pricing methodologies and product offerings
- Exceptional communication skills, proficient in English
- Ability to manage various sales channels (email, WhatsApp, phone)
- Strong relationship management skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain store presentation standards
