Job Purpose
To manage and grow key accounts, source new business, and ensure the achievement of sales and gross profit targets.
Key Performance Areas
- Sales Management:
- Source and onboard new customers through various channels (cold calling, networking, referrals).
- Achieve and exceed sales and gross profit percentage (GP%) targets.
- Identify sales opportunities through customer sales history analysis.
- Manage back-orders and develop strategies for customer sales growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Accounts to ensure continuity and business growth.
- Conduct product demonstrations and sales presentations.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Monitor client requirements and offer innovative solutions.
- Strengthen client engagement to promote loyalty and drive repeat sales.
- Administration and Reporting:
- Generate and analyze monthly sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Prepare quotes, invoices, sales orders, and customer visit reports.
- Coordinate stock arrangements and pipeline orders with procurement and branch managers.
- Manage credit limits, payments, and COD applications in collaboration with the Debtors department.
- SHEQ Integrated Management System Control:
- Comply with ISO Standards and maintain best practices for safety and quality.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar position.
- 8 years in a sales environment.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Excel and SAGE Evolution (or similar software) at an intermediate level.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and strategies.
- Awareness of ISO Standard requirements.
Skill Requirements:
- Expertise in quoting, invoicing, and negotiation techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective Key Accounts Management with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills to articulate value propositions and resolve client challenges.
