Position Summary
Nestlé, the world’s leading food and beverage company, is seeking a Packaging Assistant to ensure the efficient operation of packing lines and the production of high-quality products in a fast-paced factory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Packaging Operations:
- Stack finished or semi-finished products onto pallets as per packing standards.
- Pack finished product units into trays, outers, or cartons.
- Perform manual filling, stitching, folding, sealing, and coding of bulk bags.
- Line Support:
- Ensure adequate supply of trays or cartons to the running line.
- Stretch-wrap completed pallets and handle finished goods/products.
- Food Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all operational and food safety procedures, including proper use of safety and hygiene equipment.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of stock, including opening and closing stock levels.
- General Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as instructed by superiors.
Requirements
- Education:
- Matric certificate with Mathematics and Science is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with packaging machinery or equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills:
- Basic arithmetic and literacy to handle record-keeping and operations.
