Position Overview

Nestlé is seeking a Customer-Based Coordinator to act as the immediate point of contact within the Customer Supply Chain. This role involves optimizing inventory, ensuring product availability, and improving end-to-end supply chain efficiency from the customer’s distribution center (DC) to Nestlé’s premises.


Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Availability and Management:
    • Ensure Nestlé products are always available on shelves by maximizing inbound case fill rates.
    • Proactively manage short-supply lines in collaboration with sales teams, customers, and category planners.
    • Identify and resolve stock shortages, overstocks, and expiration issues at customer DCs and store levels.
  • Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Oversee the end-to-end flow of orders from Nestlé premises to customer DCs.
    • Monitor and manage truck turnaround times at customer back doors.
    • Work with 3PL providers to ensure on-time deliveries within lead times.
  • Collaboration and Planning:
    • Collaborate with demand planners to align customer and Nestlé plans for promotions and key events.
    • Ensure smooth transitions between product lines or packaging during new product development (NPD) and renovations.
  • Inventory Optimization:
    • Achieve target inventory levels by identifying opportunities to reduce unproductive stock.
    • Monitor and report order fill rates, ensuring high order capacity utilization.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 2 years of operational experience in one or more of the following areas:
      • Customer Service
      • Supply Planning
      • Supply Chain Development
      • Sales/Key Account Management
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
    • Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
    • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for supply chain management.
