Store Manager – Mr Price
Location: Palm Gate Centre, Parys, Midvaal, Gauteng, South Africa
Job Purpose
To lead and manage the daily operations of the store, ensuring achievement of overall objectives, including sales targets, customer satisfaction, innovation initiatives, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock Management
- Ensure accurate receiving, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishment of stock on the sales floor.
- Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate stock loss risks.
- Maintain a clean, organized stockroom aligned with housekeeping standards.
- Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.
2. Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyze sales and profitability reports to identify areas of improvement and implement operational action plans.
- Monitor product performance and share feedback with the support center to enhance sales.
- Identify new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness.
3. Risk Management
- Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
4. Customer Experience Management
- Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer feedback, and visual standards.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and operational execution to meet customer service expectations.
5. Leadership & Development
- Drive the team to achieve store KPIs and operational strategies in alignment with company values.
- Identify and address training, coaching, and development needs for team members.
- Focus on talent management and succession planning.
- Recruit, manage, and evaluate team performance per company policies.
6. Innovation
- Implement Head Office innovation initiatives to improve in-store processes and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12
- Experience: 3-5 years in retail store management.
- Knowledge: Sales and service management, budgeting, and retail operations.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Effective communication skills.
- Business acumen in retail trade, brand, customer, and product management.
