Position Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking dedicated and professional Casual Cashiers to join our Mall of Africa store. This role supports customer service at the point of sale, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience. Candidates will process transactions accurately and uphold the highest operational standards, contributing to the success of our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service following Dis-Chem’s policies and procedures.
- Build positive relationships with customers and address their needs effectively.
- Process transactions accurately, including sales, refunds, and loyalty card benefits.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures for cash handling and security.
- Maintain awareness of current promotions and sales to assist customers.
- Report compliments, complaints, and suspicious activities to management.
- Follow company policies for handling returns, merchandise exchanges, and voided items.
- Uphold Dis-Chem’s 5-star communication principles in all interactions.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in cashier/till operations.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Strong numerical and English language skills.
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of a third additional language.
