This role offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced project managers, gain hands-on skills, and play an active role in keeping projects on schedule from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist with scheduling to support critical project milestones.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain records, including meeting notes, status updates, and project reports.
  • Meeting Coordination: Plan and follow up on project meetings to keep all team members aligned.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Update stakeholders regularly to maintain open lines of communication.
  • Task Support and Issue Resolution: Collaborate on task execution and problem-solving.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor progress, report key metrics, and raise any concerns.
  • Administrative Tasks: Coordinate schedules and manage team resources.
  • Expense Tracking: Support budget tracking to ensure cost control.
  • Risk Identification: Work with the team to identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality checks to ensure high standards.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Education: 3-year National Diploma, Degree, or Honours in Project Management or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; design skills in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva are a plus.
  • Eligibility:
    • South African citizen aged 18-35 years.
    • Reside in or near KwaZulu-Natal.
    • Currently unemployed and not part of another learnership or internship program.
    • No previous internship (SETA/Government).
