About the Role:
Fedics, part of the Tsebo Solutions Group, is recruiting a General Assistant to assist with food production, cash register operations, food serving, and maintaining cleanliness in the canteen and kitchen.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene comply with Company & Statutory regulations.
- Meet quality standards for customer service, operations, health, safety, and food.
- Assist with meal preparation, focusing on salads and desserts.
- Place food items on the serving line and maintain stock levels.
- Store and record food leftovers.
- Keep canteen tables, kitchen, and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints when possible.
- Participate in training new employees.
- Count and sign over stock to the next shift where applicable.
- Carry out additional tasks as requested by management.
- Attend necessary meetings and training courses.
Skills & Competencies:
- Practical and methodical work approach.
- Honest, reliable, and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work quickly, safely, and maintain good hygiene.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina for working 45-50 hours per week, including bending, standing, and lifting.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have completed at least a matric/senior certificate.
