Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow instructions from supervisors or other senior authorities.
- Load and unload materials from different vehicles.
- Move pallet-packed materials around the site or storage facility.
- Check that loads are secure and perform equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and complete tasks quickly and accurately.
- Report any hazards or dangers and ensure the vehicle is in a safe and legal condition.
- Follow company rules and general machinery regulations.
Skills and Competencies
- Valid forklift certificate.
- Good physical condition and endurance.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
- Matric or GED.
- Valid forklift license.
- Experience in operating a forklift.
- A medical certificate (not older than 3 months).
