Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately on the Dis-Chem system, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by building professional relationships with customers.
- Stay informed about sales promotions, special offers, and loyalty programs such as eBucks and Discovery Health Rewards.
- Ensure proper handling of all payments (cash, bank cards, vouchers) and process returns/exchanges per company policy.
- Follow strict security protocols to prevent loss and fraud, maintaining the integrity of cash handling operations.
- Assist customers with queries regarding store merchandise, ensuring they have a smooth shopping experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Education: Matric/Grade 12.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in cashier or point-of-sale operations.
- Skills:
- Strong numerical skills for handling cash transactions.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Computer literacy, particularly in MS Office.
- Basic knowledge of customer relationship management and retail operations.
Preferred Competencies:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
- Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
- Trustworthy with handling sensitive information and cash flow.
- Emotional intelligence and social awareness to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
