Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Flight Follower to monitor and track real-time aircraft movements to ensure operational safety and timely flight schedules. The role involves maintaining communication with flight crew, managing schedules, and updating internal systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Real-time tracking of aircraft movements to ensure flight safety and adherence to schedules.
- Update flight movements on operational software.
- Maintain detailed records of flight delays, incidents, and communication for reporting purposes.
- Monitor weather conditions along flight routes and at destination airports.
- Provide updates to the Flight Crew regarding weather-related hazards.
- Notify relevant stakeholders of diversions or irregular routes.
- Maintain in-flight communication with the Flight Deck crew when necessary.
- Manage driver schedules.
- Assist the Flight Operations office as required.
- Communicate estimated time of arrival (ETA) to relevant parties.
- Capture flight movements and essential data on operational software and schedule management systems.
Requirements:
- Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Experience:
- Previous aviation-related experience is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills (Essential).
- Organized, systematic, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to identify irregularities in aircraft movements is advantageous.
- Other:
- Willing and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
