Diesel Mechanic – Full-Time Position
Location: Kraaifontein, Western Cape

Purpose of the Job
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the repair, servicing, and maintenance of all value vehicles as specified in job cards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct services, maintenance, and repairs on all value vehicles according to job cards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Adhere to flat rate guidelines for all repairs and services.
• Sign off on job cards, tick off service schedules, and record all parts used on the job card (e.g., engine oils).
• Apply the next service sticker and double-check all work completed by assistants.
• Ensure vehicles are in neutral before commencing any repairs.
• Be available for standby and breakdown assistance after hours as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) certification.
• Trade tested as a Diesel Mechanic.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a workshop environment, specifically in repairing trucks.
• Experience with UD and Hino trucks will be an advantage.
