Introduction:

A world-class Game Reserve is looking for an experienced Head Chef to oversee two of their lodges in the Eastern Cape.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee two kitchens in all aspects.
  • Stay updated on current food trends and implement new menus.
  • Plan and effectively oversee all dining experiences.
  • Plan, rotate, and accurately cost all menus.
  • Rotate all stock in accordance with OHS standards.
  • Oversee staff needs and required training in each kitchen.
  • Liaise effectively with lodge managers on all aspects of the kitchen.
  • Plan and inform staff of their leave structure and time off.
  • Identify and eliminate shrinkage in any areas showing losses.

Desired Experience & Qualification:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Head Chef.
  • Relevant Certificate and/or Diploma required.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Food Management and Safety Certificate.
  • Must present a detailed, individually labelled food portfolio.

Package & Remuneration:

  • Salary: R24,000 CTC.
  • Live-in accommodation provided.
  • 3-week on and 1-week off working cycle.
