Introduction:
A world-class Game Reserve is looking for an experienced Head Chef to oversee two of their lodges in the Eastern Cape.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee two kitchens in all aspects.
- Stay updated on current food trends and implement new menus.
- Plan and effectively oversee all dining experiences.
- Plan, rotate, and accurately cost all menus.
- Rotate all stock in accordance with OHS standards.
- Oversee staff needs and required training in each kitchen.
- Liaise effectively with lodge managers on all aspects of the kitchen.
- Plan and inform staff of their leave structure and time off.
- Identify and eliminate shrinkage in any areas showing losses.
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- 5-8 years of experience as a Head Chef.
- Relevant Certificate and/or Diploma required.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Food Management and Safety Certificate.
- Must present a detailed, individually labelled food portfolio.
Package & Remuneration:
- Salary: R24,000 CTC.
- Live-in accommodation provided.
- 3-week on and 1-week off working cycle.
