Job Description:
The Packer position involves performing general tasks with brief induction, ensuring high standards in packaging and stock control within our milling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging and Stock Control:
- Ensure correct packaging for Graded Mills is used consistently.
- Maintain a clear distinction between milled products, avoiding mixing.
- Package, bag, and place products on pallets according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain storage according to SOPs and comply with safety and foodstuff regulations.
- General Duties:
- Assist with loading and offloading stock.
- Ensure premises are clean and organized.
- Perform hard manual labor, maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Contribute to overall operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or NQF4
- Ability to perform hard manual labor
- Basic English literacy and comprehension
- Willingness to work a 6-day workweek (Monday to Saturday)
- Ability to work night shifts
- Must be in excellent health and physically fit
Skills Required:
- Strong service orientation
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and precision
- Ability to maintain tidiness and adhere to safety protocols
