Handyman Job Opportunity – Table Mountain National Park
A vacancy exists for a Handyman at Table Mountain National Park. This role requires an individual with practical experience in maintenance and technical fields to support the park’s infrastructure and facilities.

Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Trade Certificate in Electrical, Aircon, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Carpentry, or a related field is advantageous.
- Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP.
- Minimum of 3 years practical experience in a technical/maintenance role.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repairs.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical maintenance will be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- General administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging conditions.
- Availability to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
- Candidates must pass a practical assessment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks, such as repairs, plumbing, welding, air conditioner and refrigerator maintenance, electrical and civil works, following set quality and productivity standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance of tourist buildings, staff accommodations, ablution blocks, administration buildings, and other infrastructure services such as electricity, borehole pumps, sewer systems, and equipment.
- Assist in the inspection and assessment of contractors’ work.
- Record daily maintenance tasks and identify further maintenance needs.
- Transport equipment, materials, and staff, and perform vehicle inspections.
- Support planning and execution of technical maintenance tasks.
- Assist with ordering stock and supply chain processes.
- Perform housekeeping tasks and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Handle basic administrative tasks such as maintaining inventory and recording stock.
Salary Range:
R137,509.70 – R188,179.21 per annum.
