Are you a driven and sales-oriented administrator looking to excel in a fast-paced FMCG environment? RCL Foods is seeking a motivated Sales Administrator to join our Baking Division at Sunshine Bakery in Durban. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this role offers an opportunity to play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operational aspects of our sales process.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric with an exemption and at least 60% in Mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales administration in a sales-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and JDE systems.
  • Good understanding of logistics and manufacturing is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle detailed administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Administration:

  • Oversee and monitor the daily sales operations, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
  • Support in general management and handle disciplinary issues related to drivers and sales representatives, coordinating with HR and Route Controllers.
  • Maintain accurate records of absenteeism and cash shortages, providing weekly reports to Sales Managers.

Cash and Crates Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash shortages, ensuring issues are resolved within a week and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Track and report on the movement of crates across routes, addressing variances and liaising with Dispatch to ensure smooth operations.
  • Escalate crate loss issues and collaborate with the Sales Manager to implement solutions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct driver debriefs and analyze route performance, identifying key customer trends such as customer gains and losses, and report findings to the Sales Manager.
  • Use JDE systems and data platforms to monitor sales, track key performance indicators, and support the improvement of routes and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates through weekly, monthly, and graphical reports on key metrics like crate losses and sales.

Customer and Route Management:

  • Track and analyze customer data per route, identifying potential for sales growth and recommending actions to the Sales Manager.
  • Work with the team to improve customer relationships, ensuring corrective actions are taken for underperforming routes and customers.
