Job Purpose and Profile:

To provide administrative and financial support to the Financial Accounting Unit, ensuring the efficient operation of the office and supporting the CETA’s overall strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including handling correspondence and emails.
  • Assist the Finance Officer and Financial Accountant in prioritizing agendas and managing key issues.
  • Maintain and update the unit’s annual meetings planner and coordinate meeting logistics.
  • Attend key meetings, ensuring follow-up on identified actions.
  • Prepare business presentations and manage relationships relevant to the business unit.
  • Manage office supplies and inventory.
  • Perform special projects, including research and analysis.
  • Support CETA projects, campaigns, and events.
  • Develop high-quality templates and tools for business process improvement.
  • Provide support in financial management activities to meet tactical work plan goals.
  • Manage document flows and archiving in a confidential manner.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports for review by the Finance Officer and Financial Accountant.
  • Handle payroll payment administration based on schedules from HR.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, Acts, and financial regulations.
  • Support risk management, fraud prevention, and governance processes.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits and submit accurate monthly reports.
  • Build relationships with CETA officers and participate in committees and task teams.
  • Support the development of a high-performance culture and manage intern and team performance.
  • Adhere to CETA’s policies and contribute to its financial sustainability.

Requirements:

Desired Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field (NQF Level 6).
  • Proof of registration with a professional body.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in finance administration or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Remuneration and Benefits:

A negotiable basic salary plus benefits package will be offered, in line with the CETA Remuneration Policy and salary scales. The role will be a long-term appointment linked to the CETA licence, subject to satisfactory performance.
