Job Description:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Cleaner on a fixed-term contract for their store in Bayside Mall, Table View. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and neat store environment in accordance with Dis-Chem’s hygiene standards, covering areas such as the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 6 months cleaning experience
- Proficient in English (written and oral)
- Basic customer service skills
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual skills
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the store, shop floor, and communal areas before the store opens.
- Develop cleaning routines to maintain high standards in all areas of the store.
- Keep the canteen and restrooms clean and stocked with necessary products.
- Be available during operational hours to clean as needed.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
- Display wet floor signs when cleaning to ensure safety.
- Provide friendly and professional customer assistance when required.
- Perform duties according to Health and Safety Regulations.
