Job Description:
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for an experienced Cleaner for their Gateway store in Umhlanga Ridge. The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic store environment, including the shop floor, stockroom, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum of 6 months cleaning experience
- Proficient in English (written and oral)
- Basic customer service skills
- Willing and able to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Bilingual skills
- Previous retail store cleaning experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the store, including shop floor and communal areas, before the store opens.
- Maintain cleanliness in the canteen and restrooms, keeping them stocked with necessary products.
- Be available during operational hours to clean as needed.
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.
- Display wet floor signs when cleaning to ensure safety.
- Provide friendly, professional assistance to customers when required.
- Comply with Health and Safety Regulations while performing duties.
