Job Overview
Pedros is hiring a meticulous and driven Finance Clerk to join our Finance team at our Head Office. As a Finance Clerk, you will be responsible for daily revenue reconciliations, managing financial discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Revenue Reconciliations: Perform daily reconciliations for all store POS pay types, including cash, card, and third-party payment platforms like Mr D, Uber Eats, Yumbi, vouchers, accounts, and Pedros app transactions.
  • Review and Query Management: Review store daily reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve queries with store and operations management promptly.
  • Financial Input and Verification: Input cash-up revenue figures into reconciliation spreadsheets, verify cash drops via online portals, and ensure deposits match bank records.
  • Transaction Reconciliation: Reconcile card transaction revenue with amounts received in the bank account and escalate any variances according to SOPs when required.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure original cash-up documentation is received weekly and is filed correctly for auditing purposes.
  • Variance Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve all financial variances, escalating any unresolved issues to the appropriate departments.

Requirements

  • Education: A relevant finance qualification is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with accounting packages such as Sage 200 Evolution, Pastel Partner, or similar systems.
  • Excel Proficiency: Strong skills in Excel, including the ability to perform complex reconciliations and data analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial data entry and a keen eye for identifying discrepancies.
  • Team Player: A motivated individual who can work well in a team environment and handle pressure effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to liaise with stores and operations management regarding financial queries.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
