Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Collate, prepare, and interpret financial reports, providing detailed analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Accounts Management: Review accounts payable and receivable records, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and verify count sheets to maintain accurate stock records.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and statutory regulations, managing tax returns and related documentation.
  • Audit and Financial Statements: Coordinate the audit process and ensure financial statements are completed accurately and on time.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets and conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and improve financial efficiency.
  • Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to safeguard company assets.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with the operations team to support financial decision-making and provide insights into financial performance.

Requirements

  • Education: Relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
  • Experience: Proven experience in full bookkeeping functions, including the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts with commentary on variances.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with accounting software such as Pastel Evolution, Sage 50, Sage 200, or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the FMCG, fast food, or retail industry is a plus.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in the full MS Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks with accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely.
