Draughtsman

Role Purpose:

To assist with effective plant management workflow sheets, design drawings for new installations, general arrangement drawings and structural designs.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Grade 12
• Drafting Diploma/ Certificate

 

Required Experience:

• 2-3 years in draughting

 

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Process Flow

• Manage process flow detail.
  • Motor kW’s.
  • Machinery operating speed (rpm, m/s).
  • Machinery wear parts detail.
  • Instrumentation.
  • Machinery identification to EPOL standards .
• GDA Drawings
  • Drawing detail for manufacturing (Mechanical/ Electrical).
  • Shop drawings on smaller installations.
  • BOQ is based on GA drawings.

 

General Administration

• Good housekeeping and ad hoc duties including general filing and record maintenance.
• Compile ad hoc spreadsheets and analysis when required.

 

Information and Data Management

• Ensure team members accurately and regularly capture data onto SAP to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.

• Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrate effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritizing, and self-development.
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.

• Plant Process flow detail.
• GA Drawings detail.
• BOQ derived from GA drawings.
• Site Layout details.
• Management of Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Feed Safety and Quality.
• Ensures that all legislative and industry standards are followed and that all areas of non-conformance are reported.
• Ensures adherence to ISO 9000/22 000/14 000/18000 standards within the Total Integrated Management System.
• Ensures ISO in-process quality control processes are followed.
