WeBuyCars is seeking a Social Media Specialist to elevate our online presence and execute our social media and engagement strategies. If you have expertise in developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies, along with a strong understanding of social media KPIs and content management, we want to hear from you. As a Social Media Specialist at WeBuyCars, you will play a vital role in enhancing our brand and fostering meaningful customer connections. You would be working closely with our community coordinators and design team and report to our Digital Marketing Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Social Media Specialist
- Develop, implement, and oversee our social media strategy, focusing on increasing brand awareness, fostering engagement, expanding our online community, and generating leads.
- Crafting and maintaining content calendars for our organic social media content.
- Set and track essential social media KPIs, ensuring that every campaign aligns with and meets objectives.
- Curate, publish and monitor social media content, working closely with the design team to ensure that it is informative, persuasive, and appealing.
- Measure the success of each social media campaign using analytics tools and data-driven insights to refine future strategies.
- Identify areas where we can improve on our organic and paid social media content and strategies.
- Set up, monitor and report back on A/B tests to further improve on social media performance.
- Stay informed of the latest social media best practices and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge and uphold our brands category leader status.
- Employ social media marketing tools such as Sprout Social and Meta Business Manager for campaign execution and optimisation.
- Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation, targeting, creative briefs, copywriting, and performance tracking.
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure that content aligns with the brand’s voice and vision.
- Work closely with cross-functional departments, including sales, customer service and IT, to harmonise efforts and achieve common goals.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Social Media Specialist or similar role, with expertise in social media strategy and management across paid and organic.
- Proven experience with social media strategy, utilising social media to increase brand awareness and generate quality leads.
- Excellent knowledge of popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and a thorough understanding of best practices on each.
- Familiarity with web traffic metrics, with the ability to source and utilise data insights from Facebook Insights, Meta Business Manager, Google Analytics 4, or Google Data Studio effectively.
- Experience in conducting audience and buyer persona research, ensuring campaigns target the right audience, and ads have copy that resonates.
- A strong grasp of social media KPIs, allowing you to track and optimise towards objectives effectively.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player with strong time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for specific audiences and platforms.
