We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our Agri Breeder team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision and output of the site and its team.

Minimum Requirements
- A good understanding of modern farming methods, a commitment to animal welfare and an interest in, and understanding of, the ways in which farming impacts the environment
- Ability to apply the basics of poultry effectively on site
- Strong analytical skills relating to breeder technical aspects.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word) would be advantageous
- Capability to analyse operational reports and data and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in English (Verbal and Written) is essential in this position
- Grade 12
- Numerical Literacy
- A degree in Agriculture is greatly valued and beneficial
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the area of Rearing/Laying
- Relevant poultry courses will also be beneficial
Duties and Responsibilities
- Effective management of the site.
- Ensure that the assets and installations are maintained and in good order. Thorough knowledge of function/tasks/equipment
- Ensure all livestock is treated humanely, and in compliance with company standards
- Coaching employees to help them develop a clear understanding of the requirements relating to Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality.
- Managing conflict and ensuring communication up, down and across. Supportive and encouraging to direct reports.
- Involve the team by encouragement and motivating to deliver safety excellence and promote risk awareness by getting involved and following safety rules and identifying risks. Set goals/objectives and coach team to achieve these.
- Planning and organizing duties and activities on site
- Effective communication if and when problems arise
- Decision making within authority level and company procedures
- Time management on site as well as guiding others to manage their time on site
- Attending to HR/IR matters
