An exciting opportunity has become available for a Logistics Administrator Weighbridge (Raw Materials) to join Samancor Middelburg Ferrochrome smelting operation in Mpumalanga. The perfect candidate will assist the Logistics Coordinator Raw Materials with overseeing all weighbridge activities and perform administrative related functions.

Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT, RISK, QUALITY AND COMMUNITY

  • Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
  •  Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
  • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation, and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
  • Ensure the OHSA and environmental standards are maintained
  • Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
  • Adhere to all related SOP’s, PTO’s and CTO’s as per Training Matrix per position, SHEQ and company standards
  • Comply to the 5S requirements and manage your area of responsibility

CUSTOMERS

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction

BUSINESS PROCESSES

  • Assist in controlling weighbridge staging area, incoming and outgoing traffic
  • Identification of materials as and when required
  • Oversee weighing activities
  • Assist Raw Material Co-ordinator with addressing queries from Logistics Weighbridge Operators
  • Check deviations on weighbridge tickets and compile a report
  • Report all deviations via IMS
  • Sort tickets sequentially and submit every morning to Raw Materials, Export and SHEQ (Infrabuild, Waste Group, Enviroserv, Magnum Metals)
  • Administrative functions
  • File used waybill books accordingly
  • Manage bookings for access to site and issue loading lists to the Access Control Security team
  • Take accountability over raw material movements
  • Track raw material deliveries
  • Report Raw Materials offloading and dispatching information
  • Work overtime as and when required
  • Any other tasks required

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 or N3 or N3 that is equivalent to a Grade 12/ Matric (4x Technical subjects or 4x Business subjects and 2x Language subjects)
  • 3 years relevant experience in a logistics environment
  • Valid driver’s license (minimum B/ Code 8)

ADVANTAGEOUS

  • Relevant Administrative or Secretarial qualification obtained through a recognised institution
  • SAP and COUPA user experience
  • MES experience would be advantageous.
  • Raw Material experience would be advantageous.
