Risk and audit manager

Position: Risk and Audit Services Manager

Paterson Grade: D-Upper
Salary ranges from R646 500 – R1 223 400 maximum
Requirements:
ß The successful candidate must hold a degree in Commerce or related qualification as well
as a risk and audit related qualification with a minimum of ten (10) years relevant
experience, of which at least three (3) years must be in management level. Experience in a
regulatory environment will be an added advantage.
Duties:
The successful candidate will be responsible to:
ß Manage the end to end Risk function within NCR.
ß Draft the Strategic and Annual Performance Plans and manage the cascading into
business plans.
ß Ensure business continuity within the NCR.
ß Monitor, enable and evaluate the departments’ deliverables on the APP.
ß Provide leadership and set out a clear vision of the department.
ß Provide oversight to the entire operations of the department. Develop and update policies
and procedures for the operations of the department.
ß Stakeholder Management – dtic, National Treasury, internal and external auditors.
ß Budget management for department.
ß Ensure adherence to the dtic annual compliance calendar.
ß People and performance management of the team. Manage and guide the Risk
Officer, as well as the Junior Operations Officer within the NCR.
ß Management of the strategic and operational risk registers.
ß Monitoring of performance information for the NCR.
ß Manage any other audit and risk related tasks.
ß Manage the outsourced internal audit function.
ß Prepare reports for Audit and Risk Management Committee.
ß Participation in various relevant committees and forums.
Knowledge:
ß The National Credit Act.
ß dtic compliance calendar
ß National Treasury Principles.
ß South African consumer credit market.
ß Stakeholder management including industry forums.
ß Understanding of the regulatory framework.
ß The candidate must be computer literate (complete MS Office package).
